Goat Island is a collaborative performance group based in Chicago, USA.[1] It was founded in 1987 and consists of the core group members Matthew Goulish, Bryan Saner, Karen Christopher, Mark Jeffrey and Litó Walkey.[1] The group is directed by Lin Hixson.[1] In 2006, Goat Island announced that their ninth performance, The Lastmaker (2007), would be the last work that they would create as a company, before individual members went on to pursue new projects and collaborations—such as Goulish and Hixson’s new initiative: Every house has a door.[2]
