2011 WIR Outcomes

Hi! We're happy that you've decided to join the Archives of American Art project team. Please sign up below so we can keep in touch with our volunteers! We are finalizing some really exciting projects and contests and we look forward to having you involved! What can you do to get started? Explore the research collections at AAA's website. Copies of most of our microfilmed collections can be sent to your school or public library at no cost to you! Just let us know, and have your librarian submit the form at www.aaa.si.edu/askus/interlibrary-loan You might find some amazing digitized collections. These will be a part of a featured article project this summer, so feel free to get started. Utilize the amazing oral history collection. A unique collection of oral histories are housed at the Archives of American Art, and many are transcribed online and in the public domain. We will be releasing a large selection of PD images to Commons this summer, but, you might find a low-res image for your article to be uploaded to Wikipedia in our Image Gallery. Transcribe a letter on Wikisource. Just make sure it's in the public domain! Translate a related article in your language today! Earn the Archives of American Art Barnstar Archives of American Art Barnstar featuring James McNeill Whistler's palette and brushes, ca. 1889 from the Leon Dabo papers, Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution. The Archives of American Art Barnstar was created by Archives staff. This special barnstar uses the classic image of a painter's palette - the palette of American artist James McNeill Whistler. Staff and Wikipedian in Residence, SarahStierch, will be awarding the barnstar to users who make quality contributions to this ongoing project! How do you earn The Archives of American Art Barnstar?
