Because you've contributed to FPC either recently or in the past, I'm letting you know about the above poll on the basis of which we may develop proposals to change our procedures and criteria. Regards, Papa Lima Whiskey (talk) 09:36, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Pengo, because you contributed to FPC's recent review, I'm letting you know that the results of the poll have been posted. We appreciate your contributions to the first stage and hope you take part in this next step, here, to move towards implementing several changes to the process. Nurdle (bead) listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Nurdle (bead). Since you had some involvement with the Nurdle (bead) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 23:01, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Ugg Australia, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ugg Australia. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:39, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Looks fine to me. Thank you for the call, anyway. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 19:13, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IPA question

I went ahead and moved your question about IPA to WP:RD/L#Quick brown fox of IPA? (Phonetic pangram?), as the IPA talk page is only meant for discussions about improving that article, not questions about the IPA in general. Hope you don't mind, rʨanaɢ (talk) 01:09, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Pengo, Just an idea, but why don't you co-licence this image under GPL? I know that this image is not "free software" per se. The main idea behind it is just that you can publish the whole image under one licence (GPL) and not two...
cheers --D-Kuru (talk) 21:18, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Not sure I follow your logic entirely, but I've dual licensed with GPL and GFDL now. —Pengo 23:50, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
thanks --D-Kuru (talk) 20:30, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Continued fraction for sine

Sorry, but I can't help you with the Pringsheim notation, and since you didn't cite a source for it, I was obligated to revert the notation while keeping the continued fraction. — Glenn L (talk) 07:34, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We have a number of FP candidates at the moment that need additional reviews (to build consensus), listed at the above link. I thought you might be interested as you've been a reviewer in the past. Also, do feel free to nominate any images that you are aware of that meet our standards. Best regards, Papa Lima Whiskey (talk) 08:07, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Harrison's Deepsea Dogfish., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

it's unlikely needed redirect with punctuation in the title

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article Ecotone (magazine) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unreferenced journal article with no clear indication of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:AgathisRobusta01MelbourneBotanicGardens.jpg is missing information as to its authorship, or if such information is provided it is confusing.

If possible, please add or clarify this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

When adding authorship information to self published work please do NOT use describers such as 'I made this', 'own-work' , 'self-made' or personal names, without making your user name explicit.

This is so that media can be more accurately traced, if it is transferred to Wikimedia Commons.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:09, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Edius logo.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Edius logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:14, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you restored Edius. Would you please restore the talk page, too? --Pnm (talk) 03:59, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, missed it. Restored. —Pengo 06:13, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! --Pnm (talk) 05:33, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

Using image Library Pengo.jpg

Hi,

While setting up a wiki about libraries, I've founded your image Library Pengo.jpg.

You can see the using on:

I'm only on charge of designing this wiki and I dont know what will be the final choice of librarians. But it feels well...

Thanks for having put it in free licence.

Best regards

hierarchy of biological classifications on the Phylum page of Wikipedia

I would like to use your Biological Classification image for a children's BugBook that I am writing. The book will be inter-media and will include hyperlinks to the Phylum page in Wikipedia as well as other URLs. Thanks, Nature Whisperer Dennis Burton BugWhisperer (talk) 16:24, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. You have my permission —Pengo 00:37, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Pengo. Most of these Latin words have now been created. Is it OK to remove blue link entries from the list? Those that remain are either two Latin words jammed together, derived from a botanist's surname, or just plain mystifying. I'll have a go at the other pages soonish. Cheers. Jeff Knaggs (talk) 17:39, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, That's fine. Go for it. Maybe leave a note that they've been removed so people can check the history if they want the original list. Thanks for taking the time. I'd forgotten I'd ever created those pages. —Pengo 02:40, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
