Rose was a tenant in the first episode then became the Landlord thereafter, Rose is best friends with [[Mary Jenkins]], [[Sandra Clark]] and [[Pearl Shay]], and had a daughter named Tiffany ([[Kia Goodwin]]), after her husband had died, Rose dealt with being a widow, but it never seemed to bother her, Rose, marries a tall [[police officer]] named Warren Merriwether (Alaina Reed's real-life husband [[Kevin Peter Hall]]), in February 1990, but in the fourth season finale, Rose had given up being a Landlord and sells a building to a Fancy new landlord named Julian Barlow ([[Paul Winfield]]). Also on the show's second year (1986–1987), the ''227'' writers written Rose's daughter, Tiffany Holloway, out of the series, with no explanation given.
