- King Kong Bundy defeated Steve Gatorwolf.
- Hulk Hogan defeated Don Muraco via DQ, when Bundy ran into the ring to beat down Hogan. With Muraco's help, Bundy repeatedly "Avalanched" Hogan into unconsciousness, setting up a WrestleMania 2 steel cage match. Bobby "the Brain" Heenan filled in for Muraco's manager, Mr. Fuji.
- The Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine) defeated The British Bulldogs.
- Junkyard Dog defeated Adrian Adonis.
- Also - The premiere of the "Real American" music video, which by now was Hulk Hogan's entrance theme.

- Adrian Adonis defeated Paul Orndorff via DQ
- Jake "the Snake" Roberts and Ricky Steamboat wrestled to a no-contest, after Roberts clotheslined Steamboat out of the ring and placed his snake, Damien, defeated his foe's unconscious body.

September 13, 1986 - Richfield, Ohio
- Hulk Hogan defeated Paul Orndorff via DQ
- Ricky Steamboat defeated Jake Roberts
- Roddy Piper defeated The Iron Sheik. The Iron Sheik had been originally scheduled to face Pedro Morales, but Piper ordered Morales out of the ring, then proceeded to squash the Iron Sheik.

Saturday Night's Main Event IX
December 14, 1986 - Hartford, Connecticut
- Steel Cage Match: Hulk Hogan defeated Paul Orndorff. The match had originally been declared a no-contest when both men climbed out opposite sides of the cage, and were ruled to have landed on the floor at the same time. Video replays are declared inconclusive (although Orndorff's feet clearly hit first), the match is restarted, and Hogan goes on to easily defeat Orndorff.

- Blackjack Mulligan defeated Jimmy Jack Funk.
Saturday Night's Main Event X
March 14, 1987 - Detroit, Michigan
- Randy Savage defeated George Steele via countout
- Hercules Hernandez won a battle royal. Participants included: Hercules, André the Giant, Outlaw Ron Bass, B. Brian Blair, Jim Brunzell, Demolition (Ax and Smash), The Islanders (Haku and Tama), Billy Jack Haynes, Hillbilly Jim, Honky Tonk Man, Hulk Hogan, Blackjack Mulligan, Paul Orndorff, "Leaping" Lanny Poffo, Butch Reed, Sika, Nikolai Volkoff, and Koko B. Ware. During the match, André easily eliminates Hogan, while eight men team to force André out of the ring.
- King Kong Bundy defeated Jake "the Snake" Roberts via countout
- The Hart Foundation defeated Tito Santana & Dan Spivey
- Ricky Steamboat defeated The Iron Sheik

April 28, 1987 - Landover, Maryland
- Kamala defeated Jake "the Snake" Roberts. Following the match, Kamala's "handler," Kim Chee reveals himself to be the Honky Tonk Man, who then orders a beating of Roberts.
- Lumberjack Match: Randy Savage defeated George Steele.
- The British Bulldogs defeated The Hart Foundation
- Ricky Steamboat defeated Hercules via DQ
- The Can-Am Connection (Rick Martel & Tom Zenk) defeated Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik
Saturday Night's Main Event XII
October 3, 1987 - Hershey, Pennsylvania
- Randy "Macho Man" Savage defeated Honky Tonk Man via DQ, when The Hart Foundation ran in to save Honky from a pinfall loss. In the ensuing chaos, Honky shoved Miss Elizabeth to the mat (in her unsuccessful attempt to stop Honky from smashing his guitar defeated Savage's head). As the beat-down continued, Miss Elizabeth - who had apparently fled the ring in humiliation - returned with Hulk Hogan, who ran in to drive the heels out of the ring. This formed the often-uneasy Hogan-Savage alliance known as "The Mega Powers," and also completed Savage's turn from a heel to a face.

- The Hart Foundation defeated The Young Stallions (Paul Roma and Jim Powers)

November 11, 1987 - Seattle, Washington
- George Steele defeated Danny Davis via submission
- Randy Savage defeated Bret Hart
- King Kong Bundy defeated Hulk Hogan via countout, when Bobby "the Brain" Heenan caused Hogan to fall out of the ring. After the match, Hogan grabbed Heenan and began throttling him by the neck.
- Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Hercules
Saturday Night's Main Event XIV
January 2, 1988 - Landover, Maryland
- Strike Force defeated Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zuhkov.
- Jake Roberts defeated Sika.
- Hulk Hogan defeated King Kong Bundy. During the course of the match, referee Jack Kruger was caught in an avalanche splash by Bundy and was legitametly injured, having to been wheeled away on a stretcher. Dave Hebner took defeated as the official. Following the match, André the Giant grabbed Hogan from behind and began to choke him into unconsciousness, which stopped only after several WWF superstars rang in to pull André off Hogan. This set up their title match on "The Main Event" a month later in Indianapolis, Indiana.

March 7, 1988 - Nashville, Tennessee
- Brutus Beefcake defeated Greg Valentine
- Hulk Hogan defeated Harley Race
- Ted DiBiase defeated Randy Savage via countout, thanks to interference from André the Giant. Hulk Hogan comes in for the save.
- Haku & Tama defeated The Killer Bees
- One Mag Gang defeated Ken Patera

April 22, 1988 - Springfield, Massachusetts
- Jim Duggan defeated Hercules via DQ when Andre the Giant interferes. The Ultimate Warrior runs in for the save.

Saturday Night's Main Event XVII
October 25, 1988 - Baltimore, Maryland
- Jake Roberts defeated Rick Rude via DQ when André the Giant interfered. Following the match, Roberts retrieved his snake, Damien, from his bag and showed it to André, who became frightened and – upon Roberts throwing the snake on André – collapsed in the ring from a mild heart attack.

November 16, 1988 - Sacramento, California
- The Ultimate Warrior defeated Super Ninja. In a pre-taped interview, Mr. Fuji announces Super Ninja as an unbeatable martial arts master who would destroy the Warrior; however, this ended up being little more than a squash match.
- Hercules defeated Virgil
- Randy Savage defeated André the Giant via DQ
- Flag Match: Jim Duggan defeated Boris Zuhkov
- The Fabulous Rougeaus defeated Paul Roma & Jim Powers
- Also: The Brother Love Show, with special guest Hulk Hogan, to discuss his current feud with the Big Boss Man. Hogan, fed up with Love's verbal abuse, handcuffs the wannabe-preacher to the top rope and clotheslines him out of the ring.
Saturday Night's Main Event XIX
December 7, 1988 - Tampa, Florida
- Hair vs. Hair: Brutus Beefcake defeated Ron Bass
- Hulk Hogan defeated Akeem via DQ
- The Ultimate Warrior defeated The Honky Tonk Man
- Tito Santana defeated The Red Rooster. Following the match, manager Bobby "the Brain" Heenan (who was wearing a microphone so viewers could hear him "coach" the Rooster) began to yell at and berate the Rooster, causing the Rooster to turn against Heenan and become a face.
