Rómulo O'Farrill Jr. (15 December 1917 – 18 May 2006) was a multi-millionaire Mexican businessman.
His father Rómulo O'Farrill Senior founded the newspaper Novedades and owned the first commercial TV station (XHTV, Canal 4) through his company Televisión de México partnered with engineer Guillermo González Camarena and businessmen Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta and Miguel Alemán Valdés to create the company Telesistema Mexicano, S.A.later on Mr. Rómulo O'Farrill Jr became partner with Emilio Azcárraga Milmo and Miguel Alemán Velasco and Televisión Independiente de México they created TELEVISA also he was the honorary consul of Ireland in Mexico.
Married to Hilda Avila Camacho (r.i.p.), daughter of General Maximino Ávila Camacho for 60 years, he fathered six children, only four of whom survived. Víctor Hugo, Hilda Gloria, José Antonio and Roberto, have him 10 grand children Víctor Hugo Jr., Claudia Lorenza, Ana Paula, Caroline, José Antonio Jr., Christian, Francesca, Patrick, Hilda Romy and new born Roberto Jr. He learned English and graduated Saint Anselm College in 1937.
