Dongguan Street is linked to the Circle East Gate Streets area. Two blocks have been combined together to plan, renovate, develop and highlight the taste and cultural city of Yangzhou. Dongguan Street is an ancient street in Yangzhou.[1] In 2010 it was selected as one of "10 Famous Historical and Cultural Streets" a national program which evaluates streets on their historical importance, cultural significance, preservation, economic vitality, social visibility, and protection and management.[2] It is east to the Grand Canal and west to the National Road.It is 1122 meters long. It is paved with the slates. In the past,it was not only the water and land transportation route in Yangzhou, but also a commercial and cultural centre.
