"Beautiful" and "clean" are subjective terms, and I find it hard to believe that these descriptions are accurate considering the city had until recently been involved in a war. I doesn't explain how he allegedly "entered" Kabul and what he did to cause such a terrible change. This paragraph needs an overhaul in my opinion.

About Kabul being 90 percent destroyed by him as 'verified by UN', and so forth... couldn't find any sources on it, or anything suggesting anything like that happening, so I was '''bold''' and deleted it. It was poorly written, grossly POV, and unsourced. If anyone has credible sources proving this to be true, we can place it back in.

The article currently says Rabbani was born Sept 20, 1940, but not the heading. I suspect someone just made up the date because he died today.[[User:Ryoung122|Ryoung122]] 18:26, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Untitled

Mr. Burhanuddin Rabbani, one of the best and famous scholar of Afghanistan( Islamic State of Afghanistan) and also maned as Real Father of Afghanistan, is a kind and honest person, He was selected as President of Afghanistan by Peoples' Vote in the Year 1992 and he battled with Terorrism and its cooperators for about 10 years until he handed over the Government of AFghanistan to Interrim State in 2001. His Excellency Rabbani was born in Badakhshan and he finished his studying period in Afghanistan and in the countries abroad until he was selected as leader of Jamiate Islamie Party of Afghanistan. At the end i should say that He is one person we want him to be named as Father of The Nation of Afghanistan, no one else we want. Because he battled with Terrorism and Taliban for many years till to make his country free from Them and also he handed over his Chair to UN Selcted State kindly and without Fightings... and many more things...

I have many questions about Afghanistan, if you'd like to field them. Kingturtle 07:58 25 May 2003 (UTC)

Pakistani Army

The article says:

until Kabul was captured by the Pakistani Army disguised as Taliban in 1996.

(Emphasis is mine.)

Is it true that the Pakistani army operated inside Afghanistan disguised as Taliban? I've never heard of this. Molinari 21:28, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see that the page has been updated. Molinari 22:59, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

The article was the victim of some vandalism which I reversed. But even now it seems pretty POV:

In 1992 he became President of the Islamic Council of Afghanistan (and thus effective ruler of the country), until Kabul was captured by the Taliban in 1996. When he entered Kabul, it was a beautiful and clean city but in 1996 he left the city in ruins (according to UN, 90% of city was destroyed) with over 65,000 civilians killed, tens of thousands wounded and over 60% run away from Kabul.

Nicholai 02:09, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted PoV statements

About Kabul being 90 percent destroyed by him as 'verified by UN', and so forth... couldn't find any sources on it, or anything suggesting anything like that happening, so I was bold and deleted it. It was poorly written, grossly POV, and unsourced. If anyone has credible sources proving this to be true, we can place it back in. --Irongaard 06:04, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image title: "Future president of Afghanistan"

Is that just speculation? If so, we should delete it. --77.180.101.75 12:16, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It appears to be vandalism. Perhaps someone more familiar with the subject matter than I could make sense of it. Paul 07:19, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Even though that is possible, yes that was vandalism. --Behnam 12:35, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Birthdate?

The article currently says Rabbani was born Sept 20, 1940, but not the heading. I suspect someone just made up the date because he died today.Ryoung122 18:26, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
