Idea #2: Create a page for the online representation of most academic communities: [http://www.blackboard.com/ Blackboard]. This resource does not seem to be documented anywhere on Wikipedia, and I feel that it would be interesting and very useful to create a page for it. Many students get confused by initial set-up, as well as continued use of this website. Among Cornell students, Blackboard is notorious for it's poor design, and it would be great to have a page that not only explains what it is, but also how it functions. |

This is the user page for Albert Monina, a Cornell University undergraduate studying Information Science.
For my course focused around online communities, I plan on pursuing one of the following ideas for a Wikipedia project:
Idea #1: Create a page for the online community: Smash Boards. This community focuses on all aspects of a very successful Nintendo video game series. The website has sections dedicated to each game (Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64, Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii), but is not documented anywhere on Wikipedia. This community website provides a great place for players to learn new techniques, as well as communicate with other players to organize meet-ups, tournaments, or simply exchange ideas about the different games.
You can find the first draft of our smashboards page here! SmashBoards (Smash World Forum)
