FK Karvan (Template:Lang-az) is an Azerbaijani football club based in Yevlakh, that currently plays in Azerbaijan First Division, one of the most successful clubs in modern Azerbaijan football history, becoming first Azerbaijan club to pass first qualification stage in UEFA Cup.[1]

History

The club was founded in 2004 and immediately admitted to the AFFA Supreme League.[2] FK Karvan began amazingly finishing third in 2004/05 and second in 2005/06 seasons. In addition, they reached national cup final in 2005/06, but lost FK Karabakh 1:2. FK Karvan played in the Intertoto Cup in 2005. In the 2006/07 season the club participated in the UEFA Cup and made it to the second qualifying round. In 2009/10 season the team relegated to the Azerbaijan First Division.
