Trivia
- Early licensing material gave the series the name 'Sooty and Sweep', which is believed to be the working title for the show.
- The series features many guest stars; Stacey Solomon; Justin Lee Collins, Keith Chegwin, John Shuttleworth, Paul Daniels, Debbie McGee, Brendan Cole, Matthew Corbett, Frank Bruno and Ann Widdecombe all appear in the first series.
- A DVD special, starring Richard Cadell and also set at a theme park, entitled "Sooty - The Big Day Out" was released in 2010, and acted as the pilot for the series.
- Scampi, Butch, Ramsbottom and Sweep's mum and dad made cameos in the "The Wedding".
- Several of the routines in the show are taken from the original Harry Corbett scripts.
- Each episode was originally planned to be 18 minutes long, but due to the time slot allocated by CITV, elements that did not move the story forward were cut from the script.
