The Electric Car Corporation plc is an electric car manufacturer and dealer based in Mayfair, London with an assembly plant in Flitwick, Bedfordshire.[1] It makes and sells the Citroën C1 ev'ie, an electric car adapted from the Citroën C1. The car was first released on 30 April 2009 with a list price of £16,850 ($24,989 US).[2][3][4]
Its board of directors comprises:
- David Martell, the founder of Trafficmaster.
- Jeff Solomon, a former Technical Director of Trafficmaster.
- Maxwell Aitken, 3rd Baron Beaverbrook a former Conservative Party Whip and Party Treasurer. A former chairman of Ventech Healthcare Corporation.
- Christopher Ross, a deputy chairman of Manganese Bronze who manufacture London taxis. Former Chief Executive of Ricardo plc and Wagon Automotive.
- Richard Wright, a former Sales Director of Ford Motor Company. Former Director of Jaguar Cars in Europe.
