Frank Verstraete is a Belgian quantum physicist who is working on the interface between quantum information theory and quantum many-body physics. He was full professor at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Vienna. He was awarded the Lieben Prize in 2009 until September 2011. In October 2011, he went to the University of Ghent.
