The lucky tattie is a type of traditional sweet made in Scotland. They are one of Scotland's oldest known sweets.[citation needed] The lucky tattie is flavoured with cassia, and steamed and covered with cinnamon powder.
They contained a small toy; hence the reason for 'lucky'.
