Hammond–Whiting is a train station in Hammond, Indiana served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system. Currently, the Wolverine is the only Amtrak service that stops at this station. The station also used to serve as the split with the Three Rivers line until March 8, 2005 when the Three Rivers service was ended. The station was serviced but is now bypassed by the Capitol Limited and the Lake Shore Limited.

Of the 11 Indiana stations served by Amtrak, Hammond-Whiting was the sixth-busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 18 passengers daily.[2]

The station is along the former Pennsylvania Railroad Fort Wayne Line, now owned by Norfolk Southern. North of the station lies the old Baltimore and Ohio (CSX) and Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railroads (Canadian National) tracks. The station building and parking lot lies where the New York Central Railroad previously was.[3]

Amtrak 351 blows past the station at Hammond–Whiting without stopping during a lake effect snowstorm.
