He formerly was a member of the Boston College Eagles men's basketball team but left the team after three seasons to declare for the NBA Draft.[1] As a junior, he led the Eagles in scoring for the 2010–11 season with 18.2 points per game.[2] Jackson was named to the All-ACC First team for the 2010-11 season, along with Nolan Smith, Jordan Williams, Malcolm Delaney and Kyle Singler.[3] As a senior at Palmer High School in Colorado, Jackson won the 2007–08 Gatorade Colorado Boys' Basketball Player of the Year. In the 2011 NBA Draft, Jackson was selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round, 24th overall.[4]
