Julian Koster is a popular figure of the Elephant 6 Collective the multi-instrumentalist leader of American indie bands Chocolate USA, The Music Tapes, Major Organ and the Adding Machine, and a former member of seminal indie legends Neutral Milk Hotel. Koster also joined the Olivia Tremor Control upon their 2005 reformation for a few select shows and appeared on many releases related to the Elephant 6 Collective. The instruments he is usually credited to are the singing saw, the accordion, the synthesizer, the banjo, guitar and bass.
