Smirnykh (Template:Lang-ru) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) and the administrative center of Smirnykhovsky District of Sakhalin Oblast, Russia, located in the central part of the Sakhalin Island. Population: 7,399 (2010 Census);[1] 7,561 (2002 Census);[2] 9,693 (1989 Soviet census).[3]

Former name was Keton during Japanese rule (1905–1947).

It was home to Smirnykh air base during the Cold War.
