Kalandia checkpoint
Kalandia is an Israeli military check point where only Palestinians with permits can enter Jerusalem for work, medical care, education or religious reasons.[3][4]
Kalandia airport
Until 1930, the only airport in the area known today as the West Bank was an airfield in Kalandia used by the military and prominent guests bound for Jerusalem. [5] After the 1967 occupation of the West Bank it was renamed Atarot Airport by Israel, but closed down due to disturbances related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.[6]
