The Old Colony Housing Project is a housing project located in South Boston, Massachusetts on East Ninth Street. Built in 1941, it is one of Boston Housing Authority's oldest developments.
It is in the part of the neighborhood where Whitey Bulger and associates Buddy Francis and Kevin Weeks grew up. Whitey grew up in the nearby Mary Ellen McCormack housing project, renamed the Old Harbor housing project. Buddy Francis was later murdered by Stephen Flemmi and John Martorano, on the orders of Bulger.
