Jiangsu Jiangyan Middle School also called Jiangyan High or Jiangzhong for abbreviation, is located at Jiangyan City, Taizhou Prefecture, Jiangsu, where Chinese president Hu Jintao was born and raised.It is a high school famous for its elite education systems.The high school was founded by Gao Hama in 1939 . In 1980, it was named a Key Middle School (重点中学) by the government of Jiangsu province . Then in 1996 it was designated as a Provincial Run School (省立中学)and passed the National Model School Qualification (国家级示范性高中验收) in 1999.

Staff

The secretary general of the school was named to the National Advanced Party Branch (全国先进基层党组织). The school has more than 260 teaching and administrative staff and more than 30 super teachers, provinces and cities famous principal, teachers, and the leader in the field. In 1999, it cooperate with a high school in Australia and there have been six batch of more than 10 foreign teachers school coming fro teaching. Since the reform and opening up of China, Jiangyan Middle School has been famous for its remarkable education system, attracting many young students even beyond Jiangsu province. In recent years, it has pegged the idea of making sound educational foundation for the whole lives of students and performed far-reaching reforms of teaching system, boosted the moral education, and centered in humankind managements. A Jiangzhong phenomena has been formed. Many students have achieved good scores in the national college entrance exam. The Jianyan Computer Science Olympia team topped number one in the Jiangsu tournament. More than 30 students have won provincial or above awards.

Campus buildings

There are three Teaching buildings in the school, and each grade shares one building. All of the three buildings are connected by corridors so that the school teaching buildings look like a whole. There is also a readingroom in which students can read books, do homework, even dicuss some popular problems. Also the Main building is the Administration building which has a Roman style. The building is used for meetings and dealing with major education problems. The most famous building is the "May Fourth Movement Hall" In the 1950 s, jiangyan middle school realized by private school to public school historic change, from now on into the development of the fast lane. The school scale expanded, the number of students increased and the school facilities obviously deficiencied. When constructing new classrooms, offices , school decided to build an auditorium at the same time. In 1952, in the original place of south day temple, the school built the auditorium, named "may fourth movement hall" to carry forward the spirit. The hall is 31.2 meters long, and 16 meters wide, with a total area of 500 square meters, it has a stage, and film the projection booth, etc. Above the stage on both sides, each have a peace pigeons modelling, combine ginger people love peace of idea. The whole auditorium modelling of primitive simplicity is grave, the blue red tile, quite spectacular. After "May fourth movement hall" was completed, they raised flower beds on the two sides in front of the building, the art teacher ShenLiuTing donated two basin pines of 50 years to school. After being completed, the use of the building is very extensive, as the meeting rom or as the restaurant for students, even used as the factory workshop, and lodging dorm room, it is a real "multi-function hall "

Awards

Jiangyan middle schoolhas officially become one of the first five-star high school in Jiangsu province in 2007 and it's the only one five-start high school in Taizhou .The teaching quality comes first in Taizhou and get excellent grades in the university entrance exam every year, it's also the birthplace of three provinces top .Students' invention carry off the first provincial prize each year, in recent years ,three students have won gold prizes and one student won the international gold prize.Each year , there are about ten students have admission to Tsinghua University and Beijing University.
