Lake Zarivar (Kurdish: Zirêwar, Persian: Zarivar = زریوار) is a lake in the province of Kurdistan, Iran. The lake has a length of 5 km and a maximum width of 1.6 km and lies west of Marivan. The lake's water is sparkingly fresh and has a maximum depth of 50 m.

Zirêwar lake is a touristic attraction.

There is a great deal of folklore about the origins of this lake amongst the people of the area.

In the Kurdish mythology we can see an interesting tale that in some ways is simillar to the tale of Atlantis. The ancient residents of the area believed that there was a city named Zrivar (Zirêbar in local Kurdish) that was drowned due to a disaster from Ahura Mazda(ZoroastrianGod of the Good). The truth of this tale has not been proved yet.
