Electric Picnic is an Irish music festival which is staged every year (2004 - ) in Stradbally Hall, Co. Laois. Each year it is organised by Aiken promotions, and is often seen as the country's more relaxed alternative to the mid-summer Oxegen festival.
2006s event is due to take place September 1 - September 3 2006. Artists announced include New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Basement Jaxx, Rufus Wainwright, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Groove Armada, Damien Rice and The Frames.
