Begunje is a village in the Municipality of Radovljica in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It is the location of the headquarters of the Elan Line company. The 12th-century Kamen Castle stands just outside the village and the 15th-century Katzenstein mansion, rebuilt in the late 17th century, in the centre of the village. The Katzenstein mansion was used by the Gestapo as a prison in World War II and a museum dedicated to hostages that were victims of the Gestapo is arranged in part of the building.
