Sunday Bloody Sunday (song)Sunday Bloody Sunday — Clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Gets four times as many hits than the film. Sceptre (talk) 17:51, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Opening riff

I believe its more sound to call the third chord an E minor 7 chord.

The current labeling G6 is inadequate because there is no B. It is very uncommon to find the third omitted from a 6 chord.

If it were labeled as an E minor 7 chord the fifth would be omitted, the fifth is not a necessary note in this chord.

I would be happy to elaborate further if you don't understand. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.243.119.250 (talk) 20:31, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Provide a reliable source to verify your claims. The current information is sourced to the official music sheet as distributed by Universal Music. "Believing" or "thinking" that it is different is complete original research. Given that the current information is sourced to the official notation as provided by the record label, you will have a hell of a job proving otherwise. BIASED MUCH?

SLIGHTLY OUT ON THE FACT FRONT: ________________________________________________________________ A LOT OF THE SONG IS NOT ACTUALLY ABOUT BLOODY SUNDAY. THEY USE THE WORDS : SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY TO REINFORCE THE BELIEF THAT ON A HOLY DAY FOR BOTH SIDES OF THIS DEVIDE, BOTH CHRISTIAN THAT ATROCITIES HAVE AND WERE HAPPENING ON BOTH SIDES... THERE ARE REFERENCES TO OTHER BOMBINGS, ON THE MAINLAND ALSO.

YOU REALLY NEED TO HAVE AN OBJECTIVE VIEW. I MIGHT ADD IT HAS ALSO BEEN PROVED IN PICTURES THAT ONE OF THE PROTAGONISTS OF THAT DAY WAS Martin MCGuinness WHO HELD A SUB MACHINE GUN. AND A SELF CONFIRMED MEMBER OF THE TERRORIST ORGANISATION THE IRA.

PLEASE NOTE: THAT U2, HAVING STRONG LINKS WITH ENGLAND & WALES AS WELL AS IRELAND HAVE A VIEWPOINT THAT EVERYONE IS TO BLAME IF YOU LISTEN TO THE REST OF THE U2 ARSENAL YOU CAN CLEARLY HEAR THAT THIS SONG IS NOT JUST A REFERENCE TO BLOODY SUNDAY BUT TO THE TROUBLES AS A WHOLE AND ATTROCITIES TOWARDS PROTESTANTS AND CATHOLICS ALIKE.

Check out PLEASE by U2 or a dozen others.
