GETIT is a Directional Media Company in India which connects buyers and sellers through information products and services including yellow pages, white pages directories, classified media, tele-information services, online and mobile media. It currently operates in 35 cities as the provider of information service.

History

GETIT Infoservices Private Ltd., formerly known as GETIT Infomediary Ltd. /M&N Publications Ltd., introduced Yellow Pages in India under the brand name GETIT Yellow Pages. Its first yellow pages directories were published in Chennai (former Madras) in 1986.

• In 1996, the company ventured into classified advertising through introduction of Free Ads – a free classified advertising paper. Free Ads now has operations in four cities and spread onto online and voice.
• In 2002, GETIT introduced segmented yellow pages for Business-to-business Industrial users and B2C residential/official consumers.
• In 2002-2004, GETIT introduced getitNOW, a 24 hour tele-information service.
• In 2005, GETIT introduced tradeget.com, the online B2B marketplace for exporters and manufacturers.
• In 2007, GETIT launched its Wireless Application Protocol(WAP) search for mobiles on wap.getit.in.

Company

GETIT offers information solutions across print, voice, online and mobile platforms. The Company investors include Malaysia based ASTRO group and Helion Venture Partners.
