A Virucide (pronounced /ˈvī-rə-ˌsīd/ and alternatively spelled 'Viricide') is an agent (physical or chemical) that deactivates or destroys viruses.[1] This differs from an antiviral drug in that all virucides aren't necessarily fit for medical use.
