The Rt Rev Ambrose Walter Marcus Weekes (25 April 1919 – 24 April 2012[1]) CB FKC[2] was an eminent Anglican Priest in the last quarter of the 20th century. He was born on 25 April 1919[3] and educated at King’s College, London.[4] After ordination he was a wartime Chaplain with the RNVR then rose through the Service to become Chaplain of the Fleet[5] after which he was Dean of Gibraltar[6] and then its inaugural Suffragan Bishop.[7] He died, aged 92, in London.
