Jāmi’ah al-Ahmadīyyah (Template:Lang-ar; Jāmi’ah al-Ahmadīyyah, "the Ahmadiyya University") is an Islamic seminary and educational institute following an international Islamic curriculum, located in Canada, Germany, England, Ghana, Nigeria, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Tanzania, Malaysia, and Bengladesh. Founded in 1928 as a madrasa by Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad, the Second Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, it is the chief centre of Islamic learning for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
History
The foundations of Jamia Ahmadiyya were started by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community himself, when he exclaimed that a madrassa for Ahmadi Muslims should be started to train the new generation of Ahmadi scholars and Imams.
This led to the creation of Talim-ul-Islam College in Qadian, India in 1898 and later another one in Rabwah, Pakistan in 1944 which exists to this day as a secular college that also teaches the classical Islamic sciences as part of its curriculum.
Jamia Ahmadiyya was inaugurated on May 20, 1928 by Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

International Curriculum
The Jamia Ahmadiyya international curriculum is organized and compiled by scholars of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in England, Qadian, and Rabwah and is the same for Jamia Ahmadiyyas throughout the globe (asides from regional languages taught).
Jamia students come from various countries around the world and go to various Jamias as the curriculum is the same throughout the world at every Jamia. For example, in the Canadian Jamia Ahmadiyya, there are currently students from Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, India, Pakistan, and Palestine who were born and raised in those countries and came to Canada to enrol in the Canadian Jamia Ahmadiyya.
Career Opportunities
Students of Jamia dedicate their lives to the cause of Ahmadiyya Islam upon completion of the 7-year Shahid Degree in Islamic Studies (or 4-year degree), and are sent to various parts of the world including South America, Africa, North America, Europe, Far East and others, at the appointment by Mirza Masroor Ahmad, present worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
They are completely under the direction of the Khalifatul Masih and are financed by the members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community worldwide, as per their dedication to the service of the cause.
Jamia students may become (upon appointment by the Caliph) either Missionaries of Ahmadiyya Islam (often called Murrabi, Imam, or Mawlana) or as Qadis or Muftis of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community with a specialization in matters of fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence). Some Jamia alumni have also become Islamic historians such as the late Dost Muhammad Shahid, former Official Historian of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, with a specialization in tarikh (Islamic historiography).
Jamia alumni must stay with their career choice appointed to them by Khalifatul Masih for the rest of their lives, as per their dedication to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Higher Learning
Some Jamia students also pursue further Islamic learning and therefore a specialization in a certain Islamic science after Jamia Ahmadiyya, under the appointment of Khalifatul Masih and therefore some Jamia students have studied in Azhar University, Darul Uloom Deoband, Damascus University, the National University of Modern Languages and other renowned centers of advanced Islamic/language education.
These persons are known as the ulama (scholars) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in contemporary times, while those that have simply completed their 7-year Shahid Degree are known as Imams, or Murabbis (one who nurtures).
