Believe is the third upcoming studio album by Canadian artist Justin Bieber. It will be released on June 19, 2012.

Background and recording

In February, Justin was also recording in Timbaland's studio on some songs for the album.[1] Artists yet to be confirmed on Believe include Cody Simpson, Lil Wayne, although the latter may not make the final cut. In late March 2012, it was confirmed that Bieber is to record a song called "Sup" penned by singer-songwiter MKO.[2] A demo of the song recorded by MKO was released onto the internet in early January 2012.[3]

On April 17, 2012, during a special appearance on The Voice, Bieber announced the album's release date of June 19, 2012. He also premiered the first 45 seconds of the music video for "Boyfriend". The "Boyfriend" music video was officially confirmed to be released on May 3. On April 27, 2012, Justin posted both the Standard and Deluxe edition album covers on to Twitter.[5][6]

Singles

On February 22, 2012, Bieber announced via Twitter that the first single off his upcoming third studio album, Believe will be released in March 2012.[7] On March 1, 2012, Bieber appeared on 120 Minutes to announce that the first single off his upcoming album, Believe, will be called "Boyfriend" and was released on March 26, 2012.[8] Two cover arts on Bieber's website, and fans were encouraged to vote for which cover they preferred; with the most voted for cover to become the official cover.[9]

On May 7, 2012, Bieber announced that he would release a song titled "Turn to You" on May 11, 2012 for Mother's Day weekend. He stated that the proceeds of the song would go to help other single mothers.[10] It is unclear if the song will be included on Believe, or not.
