"The Eds are Coming, the Eds are Coming" is the fourth and final special episode of the animated comedy series Ed, Edd n Eddy. It originally aired on Cartoon Network in the United States on May 11, 2007 as part of the Cartoon Network Invaded mini-series. The episode was directed by Danny Antonucci and written by Antonucci, Rachel Connor and Mike Kubat. The score was composed by Patric Caird. In the episode, Jimmy's nightmare where aliens invade the Cul-de-Sac apparently comes true, and the Cul-de-Sac children try to assult them.
Plot
The episode opens with Jimmy, happy in his beautiful dream world, when it suddenly turns into a nightmare when alien spaceships begin to invade the Cul-de-Sac. He soon wakes up, finding Sarah in his room, to whom he explains what happened during his nightmare. Though Sarah does not, Jimmy believes nightmares are reality. Jonny believes Jimmy, after he visit Rolf's house in order to find a rutabega for the upcoming Sadie Hawkins dance.
Jimmy tries to tell the other children, Edd and Eddy, that aliens are invading the Cul-de-Sac and have taken over Rolf's house, but they don't believe him and (save for Jonny) start laughing. Jimmy and Jonny then question the whereabouts of Ed. Edd then shows them a note he found on Ed's bedroom door which read "At Rolf's Needs Help." Now the children believe something unusual is happening and decides to investigate Rolf's house, where they notice the area around Rolf's house is very hot compared the rest of the snowy Cul-de-Sac and some mysterious green gas and emitting green light is coming out of the house. Suddenly, a green, bizzare-looking, cheese-like meteor is shot out of Rolf's house's chimney and lands in the playground, causing an explosion of gas. The kids run to the playground, and upon observing it, they find a slimy hand sticking out. Kevin takes a look again and finds the "egg" hatched, and Ed, covered with green slime, jumps out of it. He briefly tells them what he had seen at Rolf's house and collapses.
Edd researches Ed's science-fiction comics and finds out that aliens are capable of heat vision, but before he could read any further, he hears a mysterious sound which scares him, and runs out with some of Ed's comics to the childrens' secret hideout. He shares the information he'd gotten and gives them all sub-zero battle suits which will protect the children from the heat. The children arm themselves and move out to Rolf's lawn and begins the assault, however, Kevin finds that they are useless combatants. Ed tells them that an attractive human female is needed to lure the aliens from their lair: Nazz dressed up in pretty dress and is tied up to a streetlight. A figure appears on the window and spots Nazz. As it makes its way to the door and opens it, The children begin to panic; However, when the door opens, the figure is revealed to be Rolf all along, who's completely safe and unharmed.
The children appear to be confused and Rolf explains that he has relatives from "The Old Country" over at his house, who turned up the furnace so high, that the house and the area around it became extremely high in temperature. Rolf asks them to join the festivities, but the children decide to leave. Eddy tries to escape, but Rolf takes him inside the house. Edd wishes to join Rolf's family's festivities, but Ed runs off with him, leaving Nazz still tied to the streetlight. The episode ironically ends with a flying saucer carrying the Cul-de-Sac away as it did in the end of Jimmy's dream.
