Felis chaus prateri is a subspecies of the jungle cat that inhabits western India and Sindh.[1]
It inhabits wetlands in areas with arid climates, and lives under dense and wet jungle cover. It is mostly sighted alone, but spotted in pairs as well. During the day it hunts for food, and rests at night. It feeds on rodents such as Nesokia and Tatera, as well as fish from the Indus River.[2]
