In 2011, Parineeti made her debut in Maneesh Sharma's Ladies VS Ricky Bahl alongside Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in the main lead. Her performance was very much appreciated with film critics. One of them commented, "Parineeti Chopra springs a pleasant surprise. She has wonderful screen presence and acts freely. In fact, the viewers would take to her character instantly". Komal Nahta wrote, "Of the three other girls, Parineeti Chopra is undoubtedly the best. She has the best role, the best lines and hers is the best performance among the three. In fact, she provides a lot of light moments in the first half and, more importantly, in the second half too".[1] Box office India declared the film an average. Parineeti Chopra has won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has also won all the debut awards like Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Female, Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut, Apsara Award for Best Female Debut, Apsara Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow – Female. Speaking on sweeping the awards circuit and winning Best Debut Parineeti said, "Whenever somebody becomes an actor the first thing they start thinking about is awards. I had absolutely no expectations from anything." She continued, "When the nominations started getting announced that’s when I was like I want some awards and now I’m winning them. I just cannot get over the fact that all this is happening to me with my first film." Parineeti has won eight awards so far for her performance. [2]

Parineeti Chopra's second film is Ishaqzaade opposite Arjun Kapoor, it is also produced under Yash Raj Films and directed by Habib Faisal of Do Dooni Chaar fame.[3] The film released on 11th May and is doing well at box office.[4] Her performance was praised and appreciated with film critics Taran Adarsh commented: "Parineeti Chopra is simply fantastic in this high-voltage drama. Playing the part of a spirited gun-toting girl, she is not the regular timid, decorous, withdrawn Hindi film heroine. She portrays the violent behavior coupled with the audacious and brash attitude with aplomb". Komal Nahta commented: "Parineeti Chopra whom we loved in Ladies VS Ricky Bahl, shines again in a complex and intense role. She looks very good and acts like a song. Arjun and Parineeti’s on-screen chemistry and excellent performances are the highlights of the film".
