Liu Binbin (Chinese: 刘彬彬) (born June 16, 1993) is a Chinese football player who currently plays for Shandong Luneng Taishan in the Chinese Super League.

Club career

Liu joined Shandong Luneng Taishan youth team at the age of 12 in 2005 and was described as being a hot prospect for the future. He was sent to Ligue 2 club Metz one year by CFA for further training in September 2010. In the summer of 2011, Liu returned to China and played for Shandong Youth (Shandong Luneng youth team) in the China League Two. He scored his first league goal on 23 July 2011, in a 4-0 away victory against Qinghai Team.[1] Liu was promoted to Shandong Luneng's first team squad by Henk ten Cate in 2012 and made his CSL debut on 10 March 2012, in Shandong Luneng's opening match of the season against Guizhou Renhe.[2]

International career

Liu was first called up into China U-20's squad by Su Maozhen in June 2010[3] and played for China U-20 in the 2010 AFC U-19 Championship. He continued to be called up for U-20 team by Jan Olde Riekerink who took charge the team in mid 2011 and played in the 2011 Toulon Tournament and 2011 Weifang Cup. Liu scored 1 goal in 3 appearances in 2012 AFC U-19 Championship qualification as China U-20 qualified into the 2012 AFC U-19 Championship.
