Many of the entries are unsourced (though, the references are probably in the respective Wikipedia articles). In the earliest (ancient/prehistoric) entries, it's probably less "invented" and more "the earliest it is attested in history". - Mike Rosoft (talk) 06:01, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
