Jigger

The term jigger may refer to:

• A measure of volume approximately equal to one and one half fluid ounces or about 44 mL; see shot glass.
• A bartending tool used to measure alcoholic beverage ingredients
• One of the two distinct parasitic arthropods collectively knowns as chiggers
• A pejorative portmanteau combining Jew and nigger; see list of ethnic slurs.
• The aftermost mast of a four-masted sailing ship; (more fully, jigger mast)
• Slang for a person who acts as a lookout while a crime or other forbidden act (e.g., adultery) takes place
• A type of ice cream made at "The Jigger Shop", in Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania, consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate or butterscotch syrup, fluffy marshmallow, and topped with their "Jigger nuts"
• An alleyway or entry back jigger, an access to the rear of a row of houses, term used by people in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom.
• Slang for a person of Japanese ancestry who outfits himself in hip-hop attire. Derived from Japanese nigger.
