Biriyani is an upcoming Indian Tamil film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu.[1][2] It will feature Karthi and Premji Amaren in the lead roles.

Production
The film's shooting starts from August. Yuvan Shankar Raja tunes the tracks for this film, while Sakthi Saravanan handles Cinematography, Stunts performed by Silva and editing by Praveen K. L..[3]
The production team approached Samantha to do the heroine role. Meanwhile, Illeana and Parineeti Chopra are also on the list. The name of Parineeti was even being floated.[4] Richa Gangopadhyay has been in talks with Venkat Prabhu for the film.[5]
Release
The film is expected to be released on 31 December 2012.[6]
