Story
Template:Spoiler The Prince of Tides tells the story of a Tom Wingo, teacher and football coach who is reluctant to help his twin sister's psychiatrist unlock their dysfunctional family's secrets. When the sister, Savannah Wingo, attempts suicide again, Tom, must go to New York to help her. Upon reaching the hospital where she is staying, he finds that she is in such a bad condition that she cannot help her psychiatrist understand the extent of her problems.
