Miss Asia Pacific World is a beauty contest held on October 15, 2011. The contest is known for its history of sexual harassment in 2011.[1][2][3] The contest was made by Lawrence Choi, who is alleged to be involved in bribery at the competition.[1]. The police authorities declared it was a all lie.[4][5][6][7]


History

The 1st edition of Miss Asia Pacific World pageant was held on October 1–15, 2011 in Busan, Seoul, South Korea. It was formerly known as ‘Asia’ or ‘Pacific’ Competition since the 1960s,[citation needed] the pageant combines a beauty pageant and a supermodel search into one event for discovering future global stars such as film stars, models, talents, spokeswomen and singers from around the world.[8]

Controversy

In 2011, The Miss Asia Pacific World Pageant that appeared to hold huge promise, ended in disaster. Several contestants claimed that the pageant was fixed and that they were discriminated against.[9]
