Miss Asia Pacific World is a beauty contest held on October 15, 2011. The contest is known for its history of sexual harassment in 2011.[1][2][3] The contest was made by Lawrence Choi, who is alleged to be involved in bribery at the competition.[1]. The police authorities declared it was all lie and criticized BBC and British media's Distortion Press. [4][5][6][7]


History

The 1st edition of Miss Asia Pacific World pageant was held on October 1–15, 2011 in Busan, Seoul, South Korea. It was formerly known as ‘Asia’ or ‘Pacific’ Competition since the 1960s,[citation needed] the pageant combines a beauty pageant and a supermodel search into one event for discovering future global stars such as film stars, models, talents, spokeswomen and singers from around the world.[8]

Endeavor Super Star

Diana Starkova became Miss Asia Pacific World 2011 Queen, she joined the official photoshoots, charity programs and went to Cannes Film Festival. On June 16, Diana crowned her successor in South Korea. As Miss Asia Pacific World contest entered last year the grandslam beauty pageants along with Miss Universe, Miss Earth, Miss World, Miss International and Miss USA, Diana's victory is the first grandslam crown for Ukraine ever. Miss Asia Pacific World pageant concept is to produce Super Stars. Currently Diana Starkova received a main role in a film about Benazir Bhutto. The movie will be shoot in Pakistan, United Kindom and United States. Next year this film planned to be applied for Oscar Award. Recently World Peace Mission Organization announced "Ms. Diana Starkova" the Queen at Miss Asia Pacific World Competition 2011 as the "AMBASSADOR OF GOODWILL FOR PEACE" on her services for Mankind Through charities and her devotion to helping make the world a better place.

Himangini Singh Yadu from India became the Miss Asia Pacific World 2012 title after 12-long years, when three of Indian girls - Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra and Dia Mirza - won all the grandslam titles respectively. Himangini Singh Yadu awarded with the PowerBrands Hall of Fame - Inspirational Youth Icon award.

Controversy

In 2011, The Miss Asia Pacific World Pageant that appeared to hold huge promise, ended in disaster. Several contestants claimed that the pageant was fixed and that they were discriminated against.[9]
