Alison Hewson is married to U2 lead singer, Bono. They have four children - two daughters, Jordan and Memphis Eve, and two sons, Elijah and John Abraham. The U2 song "The Sweetest Thing" was inspired by Bono after forgetting Ali's birthday whilst on tour (She appears in the video for the song).

The Cranberries song "Time is Ticking Out" is dedicated to her work with the Children of Chernobyl foundation.
