Where to show these templates

I removed the templates themselves from this page, because I think they were causing too much confusion among newer (and not that new) users. Wikipedia:template messages is the defacto standard place for "newer" users to look, to learn what templates are available. From there, they naturally arrive at this page and were led to believe that deleting a page/category/whatever was just a matter of adding the appropriate tag from the chart. The templates themselves provide links to the instructions, but these links are very small and de-emphasized. It is much better to list the deletion templates only on the pages that give the instructions on how to use them, or at least not to list the templates here where users are likely to encounter them and have no clue that there is more to it than the template.--Srleffler 02:24, 22 December 2005 (UTC)

Deletion notifications

We currently have (some) deletion notification messages both at Wikipedia:Template_messages/User_talk_namespace#Deletion_notifications and here at Wikipedia:Template messages/Deletion. We should concentrate in one place, IMHO, but I'm agnostic as to where. Any suggestions? Please comment on the other page's talk page. Sandstein 06:20, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Template:prod-2

I suggest adding mention of Template:prod-2 to this list -- its existence appears to be a little known secret. For that matter, it looks like there are other PROD templates from Category: Prod-related templates that should be here as well.

I suggest also adding mention of this template at

• Wikipedia:Proposed deletion
• Category:Proposed deletion (the header)

Icon needed on AfD notifications?

I noticed there's no icon on Template:AFDWarning, Template:Adw or Template:AFDNote. It might not be strictly necessary, but I would like to add this icon , which I created for just this purpose. Would this be ok? --carelesshx _talk 16:37, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Nuvola image vs. "flat" image

Some templates use Image:Circle-style-warning.svg, while others use Image:Nuvola apps important.svg... Is there any reason for this? If not, they might be changed to the Nuvola one. — SheeEttin {T/C} 20:49, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Proposition of new speedy template

Could we possibly create a new {{db}} template for articles that couldn't possibly be verified, reliably sourced or have other flaws. By this I mean I'm proposing a template named {{Db-OR}} for as said, articles that are most probably, or even completely, examplary of original research. Also, I would like to address any concerns to this proposition, as it is most likely I will be told to use the {{Db-reason}} template, but I don't find this really suitable as it IMO that it should be set in stone, and a link provided to the original resarch policy, which should be incorporated into text that is defining of Wikipedia's policy on OR. CSD Portal

I just noticed that this page is showing up as an article for deletion simply because the template is used as a reference in the article. I've never noticed it there before so I'm thinking that something may have recently changed. I'm not worried that an admin would delete the page but getting the page off the list of articles up for speedy deletion would be nice. If not, no big deal I guess. Request for deletion

Hello, I am not a registered used/editor of Wikiepedia but I do some editing occasionally to try to smooth out many problems on pages relating to Pakistan. I wish to nominate an article/stub on a Pakistani 'politician', Waleed Iqbal, on the grounds that the subject is not really notable by Wkipedia standards but notability is being acribed by virtue of subject's relation ship to the famous writer/poet Iqbal. I have also started off the Talk page/discussion for this article and put a Template recommending deletion--might some experienced editors please also take a look and please, discuss and if demed fit, please delete/remove this artile/stub? This page should not be speedily deleted because...

This was a different page from the previously deleted page of the same name after this. I added few links to improve the article's new status and also to minimize falsification that is not recorded on several sites that refer to this article. I also minimized the stub of the page so that the article will be more improved than that of the previous article of the same name that has been deleted some months later.

But if this article is still subject to deletion, I request any of you help me save and improve this article from deletion so that the article may not be deleted.

Stray word on project page

At Wikipedia:Template messages/Deletion#Speedy deletion beneath the first example form, for {{db|reason}}, the word "no" appears by itself below the pink box. I didn't find this stray word in edit view. I assume it is not supposed to be there. Milkunderwood (talk) 06:21, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
