Andrew Jean-Baptiste (born June 16, 1992) is an American soccer player of Haitian descent who currently plays for Los Angeles Blues in the USL Professional Division on loan from Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer.
Career
Youth and college
Jean-Baptiste attended Brentwood High School on Long Island, New York. He was honored with the 2009 player of the year presented by Newsday. Jean-Baptiste played two years with the Connecticut Huskies.
Professional
Jean-Baptiste was selected 8th overall by Portland Timbers in the first round of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.
In his first professional match for the Portland Timbers, Jean-Baptiste scored a header from a free-kick, assisted by Jack Jewsbury.[1]
