Vortexx is an upcoming Saturday morning cartoon block that will launch on August 25, 2012. The block will be programmed by Saban Brands, and broadcast on The CW. It will replace the Toonzai block which is programmed by 4Kids Entertainment.
History
On June 26, 2012, a bid by Kidsco Media Ventures, an affiliate of Saban Capital Group, to acquire some of 4Kids' assets, including 4Kids' agreement with The CW for the block, was finalized. On July 2, 2012, it was announced that Saban Brands, via Kidsco Media Ventures, will begin programming the block in the fall.[1][2][3][4] On July 12, 2012, it was announced that the block will be named Vortexx, and will launch on August 25, 2012.[5][6]
