Edit war at Reggaeton articleWhile this project page doesn't say it covers reggaeton, the project's template is on Talk:Reggaeton. There's been an edit war at Reggaeton and neither warnings, nor requests to leave the article alone and discuss on the talk page, nor temporary semi-protection has accomplished anything. Can anyone here help? —Largo Plazo (talk) 16:53, 23 February 2009 (UTC) Coordinators' working groupHi! I'd like to draw your attention to the new WikiProject coordinators' working group, an effort to bring both official and unofficial WikiProject coordinators together so that the projects can more easily develop consensus and collaborate. This group has been created after discussion regarding possible changes to the A-Class review system, and that may be one of the first things discussed by interested coordinators. All designated project coordinators are invited to join this working group. If your project hasn't formally designated any editors as coordinators, but you are someone who regularly deals with coordination tasks in the project, please feel free to join as well. — Delievered by §hepBot (Disable) on behalf of the WikiProject coordinators' working group at 06:24, 28 February 2009 (UTC) This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here. If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the Message sent by User:Addbot to all active wiki projects per request, Comments on the message and bot are welcome here. Thanks. — Headbomb {ταλκκοντριβς – WP Physics} 09:36, 15 March, 2009 (UTC) U-Roy article editHi. I've done some editing to the U-Roy article. Removed commas that appeared before Conjunctions and checked Genitive Case. Also edited some of the longer sentences so that the object or subject of the sentence was clearer. Sentences that contain many subjects and objects tend to present the reader with a long list of information that is difficult to remember. Please feel free to communicate your thoughts on what I have done. Sluffs (talk) 20:59, 6 June 2009 (UTC) I have undertaken a major revamp of this article. I would be grateful if other editors could cast an eye over it and improve it further if possible. Thanks.--Michig (talk) 15:25, 14 August 2009 (UTC) Bob Marley GAR notificationBob Marley has been nominated for a good article reassessment. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to good article quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status will be removed from the article. Reviewers' concerns are here.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 07:08, 29 September 2009 (UTC) Removal of reviews from the album infoboxThis is a notification of the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums regarding the removal of reviews from the album infobox. The discussion has reached consensus to remove the reviews, though is still accepting further input into the matter. We are especially requiring more discussion on what steps to take next. Your input would be appreciated on what is a matter that will affect a lot of music articles. kiac. (talk-contrib) 09:33, 19 December 2009 (UTC) WP 1.0 bot announcementThis message is being sent to each WikiProject that participates in the WP 1.0 assessment system. On Saturday, January 23, 2010, the WP 1.0 bot will be upgraded. Your project does not need to take any action, but the appearance of your project's summary table will change. The upgrade will make many new, optional features available to all WikiProjects. Additional information is available at the WP 1.0 project homepage. — Carl (CBM · talk) 03:50, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Request for comment on Biographies of living peopleHello Wikiproject! Currently there is a discussion which will decide whether wikipedia will delete 49,000 articles about a living person without references, here: Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people Since biographies of living people covers so many topics, many wikiproject topics will be effected. The two opposing positions which have the most support is:
Comments are welcome. Keep in mind that by default, editor's comments are hidden. Simply press edit next to the section to add your comment. Please keep in mind that at this point, it seems that editors support deleting unreferenced BLP articles if they are not sourced, so your project may want to source these articles as soon as possible. See the next, message, which may help. Tools to help your project with unreferenced Biographies of living people

The article List of reggae sound systems has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons. You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing Unreferenced living people articles botUser:DASHBot/Wikiprojects provides a list, updated daily, of unreferenced living people articles (BLPs) related to your project. There has been a lot of discussion recently about deleting these unreferenced articles, so it is important that these articles are referenced. The unreferenced articles related to your project can be found at >>>Wikipedia:WikiProject Reggae/Unreferenced BLPs<<< If you do not want this wikiproject to participate, please add your project name to this list. Thank you.
Editing warring on an article: your input would be appreciatedThere is a discussion taking place about the Dancehall article. Different editors have different ideas about what should be put in the article. If anyone could pop over and read what is being said (and the different versions of the article in the history), then it would be most useful! The discussion is here. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 17:13, 29 April 2010 (UTC) Robert Dixon (musician)Robert Dixon (musician) seems to be relevant to your project. The article was in a pretty bad shape, so I edited it removing promotional material and sticking to facts. I know nothing of Reggae, so you should probably give it a look. --Muhandes (talk) 17:24, 15 July 2010 (UTC) Pampidoo article needs helpThe article on musician Pampidoo "...most famous single, "Governor General" " needs attention. I'm not convinced that this subject meets theWP:MUSICBIO notability criteria. I've added one (not particularly strong) reference but it really needs more than this. I'm posting here in case someone in this Project with better knowledge than me would care to take an interest.--Plad2 (talk) 17:02, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Reggae articles have been selected for the Wikipedia 0.8 releaseVersion 0.8 is a collection of Wikipedia articles selected by the Wikipedia 1.0 team for offline release on USB key, DVD and mobile phone. Articles were selected based on their assessed importance and quality, then article versions (revisionIDs) were chosen for trustworthiness (freedom from vandalism) using an adaptation of the WikiTrust algorithm. We would like to ask you to review the Reggae articles and revisionIDs we have chosen. Selected articles are marked with a diamond symbol (♦) to the right of each article, and this symbol links to the selected version of each article. If you believe we have included or excluded articles inappropriately, please contact us at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.8 with the details. You may wish to look at your WikiProject's articles with cleanup tags and try to improve any that need work; if you do, please give us the new revisionID at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.8. We would like to complete this consultation period by midnight UTC on Monday, October 11th. We have greatly streamlined the process since the Version 0.7 release, so we aim to have the collection ready for distribution by the end of October, 2010. As a result, we are planning to distribute the collection much more widely, while continuing to work with groups such as One Laptop per Child and Wikipedia for Schools to extend the reach of Wikipedia worldwide. Please help us, with your WikiProject's feedback! For the Wikipedia 1.0 editorial team, SelectionBot 23:32, 19 September 2010 (UTC) Reggaeton articlesTo my ears, reggaeton only seems to be marginally related to reggae. We have quite a few reggaeton artists tagged as part of this project. Is it really appropriate to include these in this project?--Michig (talk) 19:32, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
WikiProject cleanup listingI have created together with Smallman12q a toolserver tool that shows a weekly-updated list of cleanup categories for WikiProjects, that can be used as a replacement for WolterBot and this WikiProject is among those that are already included (because it is a member of Category:WolterBot cleanup listing subscriptions). See the tool's wiki page, this project's listing in one big table or by categories and the index of WikiProjects. Svick (talk) 20:29, 7 November 2010 (UTC) Jacob MillerHis wikification is still listed as an open project, but the Jacob Miller page looks pretty good as it stands now. Is this an outdated listing?--Chimino (talk) 12:00, 23 January 2011 (UTC) Jamaican MusicI'd suggest changing the WikiProject title to "Jamaican Music" (under Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Directory/Culture/Music#National_and_regional) as opposed to "Reggae." Your description already covers genres outside of traditional "reggae" definitions, e.g. ska and dancehall, and the new title would be more definitive in scope, i.e. being more inclusive towards other genres such as mento and raggamuffin, and also delineating towards other non-Jamaican genres such as reggaeton. Fusion genres such as seggae, raggacore, & bhangramuffin could arguably be included as being produced by the Jamaican diaspora and often still distinctively Jamaican in character, though hip hop and reggaeton are likely a bit far off on that line. WP:Music projectsHi folks, i've added you to Alvin Seeco PattersonHi there. I'm new to Wikipedia, but wanted to alert you to the fact that I wrote a lengthy Wiki entry for Alvin "Seeco" Patterson, which is up today. I had a series of long conversations with him this year, in which I got a lot of unknown information about his personal history. I have a great photo to add, but can't put it up because I am not the right kind of member(?). Anyway, if anyone wants to add the photo for me, I can email it to you. It would be much appreciated. Thanks! Tomazjardim (talk) 23:50, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
