Candace Fleming (born 1962)[1] is the author of more than twenty fiction and non-fiction books for children. She has recieved several awards, including the California Young Reader Medal, the Boston Globe–Horn Book Award, the Cybils Award and the Golden Kite Award. Several of her books have been placed on the annual ALA Children's Notable Book list.
Fleming has a degree in history is from Eastern Illinois University [2] and lives in a suburb of Chicago[3].
