Kaya Airlines is an Mozambican airline re-branded from Transairways.[1] The airline, which resumed operations on 29 August 2011, flies within the country of Mozambique[2]. Its head office is at Maputo International Airport.[3]

As of August 2009 the former Transairways fleet included:[4]
However, since resuming flights in August 2011, the company is operation with two Embraer Brasilia [5].
Destinations
Kaya Airlines restarted operations with flights to a limited number of destinations but hopes to expand the network in the future.
Incidents and accidents
On December 3, 2010 a Beechcraft 1900 registration number C9-AUO crashed on approach to runway 23 in Maputo International Airport. The cause was due to bad weather mainly strong winds.
