Would the Russian original be

(ru: Иванов Янис) or

(ru: Янис Иванов) - the latter seems to be called for of course, since the former seems to be family name comma personal name... but I don't read Russian (I obtained this by going to m:ru:Иванов and going to the entry on that page that seems most likely to "be" for Janis Ivanovs, after a Google search pointed me to that page- unfortunately red-linked at present, I hope someone will write an article there about him, and likewise on a few other Wikis, interesting composer. Anyway) - it seems of course best - and most consistent - to have an - accurate - : [[Russian-or-whichever language|ru-or-other-abbrev-here]]: (original text here) ) at the beginning of the article, as with other composers with transliterated names.
