I'm going to remove "cumberbund" as a mis-spelling. It doesn't appear in my paper Collins dictionary, the Dictionary application in [[Mac OS X v10.4|OS X]], or any of the sources used by Dictionary.com. It also doesn't seem to fit with the etymology given in the article, has a fraction of the hits on google (though as a common misspelling still has quite a few) and (least authoritative source :-) ) has always seemed wrong to me. What was the original purpose of the cummerbund?
