⚠

Thanks for uploading File:VWC Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Responding to RFCs

Remember that RFCs are part of Dispute Resolution and at times may take place in a heated environment. Please take a look at the relevant RFC page before responding and be sure that you are willing and able to enter that environment and contribute to making the discussion a calm and productive one focussed on the content issue at hand. See also Wikipedia:Requests for comment#Suggestions for responding.

Greetings! You have been randomly selected to receive an invitation to participate in the request for comment on Wikipedia talk:Portal. Should you wish to respond to the invitation, your contribution to this discussion will be very much appreciated! However, please note that your input will carry no greater weight than anyone else's: remember that an RFC aims to reach a reasoned consensus position, and is not a vote. In support of that, your contribution should focus on thoughtful evaluation of the issues and available evidence, and provide further relevant evidence if possible.

You have received this notice because your name is on Wikipedia:Feedback request service. If you do not wish to receive these types of notices, please remove your name from that page. RFC bot (talk) 00:15, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your article has been moved to AfC space

Hi! I would like to inform you that the Articles for Creation submission which was previously located here: User:Teksquisite/Cocoon Internet Security has been moved to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Cocoon Internet Security, this move was made automatically and doesn't affect your article, if you have any questions please ask on my talk page! Have a nice day. ArticlesForCreationBot (talk) 16:51, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback

If you are confused about templates, you can ask at the new users' help page, where generally users will respond quickly to your questions. Or you can type {{help me}} on any page, and someone should come by to help you shortly.

Thanks! Do I always have to press on the edit button to talk? How do I get a well-organized talk page going like the one that you have?

Yes, you always have to press edit. (Or you can press the plus button at the top, which essentially is just the same as the edit button, but it gives you a special box to put your topic headline in.) The wikipedia discussion interface is pretty strange, especially for new users.
When you say a well-organized talk page, do you mean my user page? Wikipedia has a page about designing your own userpage -- see Wikipedia:User page design center. The easiest way, though, is just to copy the code from someone's page that you like and paste it into your userpage (but changing the text as necessary). Some good examples of userpages are here. If you copy another user's page, you should link to the original userpage in your edit summary (the box below the edit box) to give credit to the original designer. I don't know how to do much sophisticated with fancy wikicode and tables, so my page is basically modified from someone else's. Calliopejen1 (talk) 02:48, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

teksquisite (talk)05:48, 17 December 2011 (UTC) Thanks so much! You have been an immense help and I very much appreciate you :)[reply]

teksquisite (talk)08:55, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I borrowed some code from User:Stemonitis for my user page. How do I credit that? /TIA

I just did it for you - essentially I just made a null edit (adding a random space) and wrote in the edit summary that your page is adapted from his. In the future, you can do this, or you can just put that in the edit summary when you put the code in the first time. Happy editing! Calliopejen1 (talk) 17:17, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Virtual World Computing for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Virtual World Computing is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Virtual World Computing until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
